Music by: Jason Shaw www.youtube.com Triple-Chocolate Cherry Bars 1-2 layer chocolate cake mix 2 lightly beaten eggs 1-21oz can of cherry pie filling (all I could find was a 540ml can, which is about 19oz and it was fine) 1 cup miniature chocolate chips (I used regular sized chips and they were fine) Heat oven to 350F. Grease bottom and sides of a jelly roll pan 15X10 inches. (I used a 15X11″ baking dish and it was fine) Mix cake mix, pie filling, eggs and chocolate chips in a large bowl with a spoon. Pour into pan and bake for 20-30 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool and frost. Chocolate Frosting 3 cups powdered sugar 1/3 cup softened butter 2 tsp vanilla 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 3-4 tbsp milk Mix butter, sugar and cocoa together with an electric mixer, adding milk a tbsp a time until spreading consistency is reached. Spread over cooled cake. This is called a “bar” but in my opinion it is really a cake. It tastes a lot like blackforest cake and the cherry flavour comes through very nicely.
