Delicious melted mozzarella cheese, mushroom, ham, and basil leaves on slices of crispy pan fried tofu.

Ingredients:

1 block of firm tofu
3 slices ham
2 mushrooms
1 tomato
¼ cup potato/corn starch or flour
½ tsp. Salt
Freshly ground black pepper
2-3 Tbsp. ketchup
2-4 basil leaves
1 cup mozzarella cheese
Parsley for garnish (optional)

  1. I would love to eat tofu but everytime I eat soy products I feel sick in my stomach. Don't know why.

  2. This looks wonderful! I will send this idea to my vegetarian sister, she can adjust. She does like tofu like I do and she does eat cheese. It will be easy to adapt to a variety of tastes and diets. Easily can be made vegan too. I never saw this idea and can't believe I never thought of it. I thought I had tried tofu every way possible. Thanks, you're a great teacher.

  6. I want this recipe but i don't have paper towel i can use tissue? But tissue wil stick in tofu and i don't have oven safe skillet i have non stick frying pan but my pan is damaged make tofu stuck. and my oven is very small.

  12. I have tofu and cheese that's about to expire so I'm going to make this tomorrow! I'm going to use marinara/pizza sauce instead of ketchup though! Thanks for the great idea.

  13. Thank you for sharing ~ I love Tofu!  You so far are the only one that has said "firm Tofu".  Recipes I have seen just say Tofu. I usually leave it out when using a Tofu recipe because in the past it always fell apart when cooking (I have It raw on the side).  So either I'm cooking it wrong or using the wrong firmness.  I tried soft and medium and gave up and just eat it raw with soy sauce!   Thx again
