Description

Beef and Mushrooms 1 lb. ground beef or sirloin 1 cup frozen chopped onion or 1 med. onion chopped 1 lb. fresh mushrooms, cleaned and chopped 2 TBS. butter 2 garlic cloves ½ tsp. ginger ½ tsp. rosemary ½ tsp. paprika ½ tsp. white pepper 2 large handfuls of fresh spinach 1 cup of peas ¼ cup soy sauce ½ cup of beef broth DIRECTIONS: Brown the ground beef in a large sauté pan over med. heat. Add onion. Mix together and cook until the onions are translucent. Remove the beef and onions from the pan and set aside. Add mushrooms to the pan and increase the temperature to med./high. Keep the mushrooms moving. Once the liquid has cooked off, add the butter and brown the mushrooms. When they’re brown, reduce the heat to med., return the beef mixture to the pan and stir to mix. Add the garlic, ginger, rosemary, pepper, soy sauce and beef broth. Stir to coat. Cook for 5 min. add spinach and peas. Cook until the peas are thawed and the spinach wilted. For the family, you could serve this with rice or egg noodles.
